What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Rule 5c says something to the effect that I may "Take no action, directly or indirectly to obtain the addresses or locations of [the protected person]".

We are both acting PRO PER, so in order to faithfully serve her legal papers, I think I'd need to know her address... And also, pretty much ALL of the discover forms say things like, "State the name, address and telephone number, blah blah".

Is requesting such things through the court in violation of the order? Or do the rules of discovery take precedence?

I actually already know her address, because as far as I know she hasn't moved in a year, so the point is moot, but still, I would like to know which rule applied, the order or discovery.
