What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Idaho
My boyfriend is being charged with domestic battery and intentional destruction of a phone. Basically we were arguing and it got out of hand. I was originally trying to call the police to do a civil standby and my bf grabbed the phone and pushed me and broke the phone. I do not want him to go to jail and lose his job. Is there a way to get the charges dropped or reduced?

This is decision belongs with the prosecutor and the prosecutor alone. This time it was your phone, next time it could be your face.

For you? No.

For him? Maybe. He needs an attorney and to talk to the prosecutor. If it's his first offense, he may be able to plead to a lower charge if he agrees to anger management courses or something.
