Domestic Violence & Divorce

What is the name of your state? In Nevada, can I sue my ex-husband for domestic violence injuries and expenses AFTER the divorce? Before the divorce preceedings, I suffered multiple incidents of battery and had to undergo bone graft replacement surgery for my jaw. I was unemployed before, during and after the divorce, which took six months, and could not afford the surgery until a year after the divorce became final.
