dropping restraining order

My friend has a restrainng order on her husband, he will be serving 70 months, and she would like to drop the restraining order to be present with her five year old when he visits his dad. I was told she would have to vacate the order with the reasons why is that all their is to do?

Why is the 5 year old going to be visiting dad in prison? Did a court order her to take the child to the prison to visit dad?

Is the restraining order a mutual one?
