Drug Traces in Body after Domestic Dispute?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA

There's a criminal case pending, where someone was wounded and the other person was charged with malicious wounding...However, the person charged has stated that it was in self-defensed(person was being choked)...The guy was stabbed by a woman, and the woman has said the guy was high from drugs(and not to mention choking her when she did this)...the police officer also found a bag of drugs where this guy was sitting at the time it happened. The police told her what they found at the police station, and she told them it was his. With him having to go to the hospital, would there be medical records, would the MD have checked his blood for anything such as that? Is this something a lawyer would have to look in to? She does have a lawyer.

So what kind of injuries are we looking at?

When did this take place?

Who are you in the situation?

Seriously were there bruises on your sister's throat? Dad will get custody of the baby before you will. Even if he was using pot. Yes, even if.

Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship. The devil is in the details after all.
