False police report

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CO

My husband and i ended up in a fight and he is now on bail and going on a pre-trial in 2 weeks. In the mean time a friend of us asked me to write a letter to DA that this was my fault and i initiated the fight. I am not sure if i should do that and what will be the consequences.

You should not perjure yourself. I would not do anything if I were you.

Sooo ... your "friend" is asking you to either commit perjury by lying about what happened, or, to confess to another crime?

Either way, you lose.

Before you write any such letter, you should consult with an attorney.
