What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? (California)
Hello. I am a spouse who has received physical abuse against me in my marriage. I have searched in vain on the internet for information on whether it is legal to use hidden cameras to document the physical abuse. My impression from the limited information I have found is that a bedroom would be considered a private area, and videotaping there without consent of the taped would be illegal and inadmissable. Unfortunately, the bedroom is where most of the abuse takes place.
The relationship seems likely to head to divorce down the road, but we have a child we are trying to stay together for the benefit of.
