Minor running away from home

Due to emotional and recently physical abuse by her parents and brother my girlfriend (17 years old, turning 18 in May 2010) considers running away from home (to me, 19 years old). We live in Portugal (Lisbon) but if she leaves them she will come with me to live with my family in The Netherlands. I was wondering what legal issues might obstruct us and whether or not this is possible anyway...

Thank you very much in advance, it means a lot to me to have this question answered because the abuse tears me apart.
