What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX WHAT IF YOU HAVE DONE EVERYTHING FOR YOUR MATE TO HELP HIM TO GET HELP FOR HIS PROBLEM. SOMETIMES HE BECOMES AGGRESSIVE. WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO PROTECT MYSELF AND MY CHILD, WE DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN TOGETHER.:confused:

ETA: No, I don't. The average battered woman leaves and then returns 7 to 8 times before permanently leaving a relationship.

OP, please. You have a child. LEAVE HIM. You've already been given this advice.

Sadly, some of them don't learn until it's too late. Let's hope this one gets the message in time.
