my boyfriend is a police officer and a verbal and mental abusive one, he had kicked me and my 3 children out of the home and i am also 5 monthes pregnant, we had taken all the right channels with domestic violence but someone in the system tipped him off that i was doing this and he rushed to the courts and recieved a restraining order on me, now me and my children are not allowed to retreive any of our personal belongings, we have clothes for about three days, other programs like social services has been trying to help us get out clothes at least, all the furniture in the home belong to me and i can't even has access to those.

Go to your local courthouse and ask about getting a "writ of assistance." The police(sorry!!) will escort you to the home and will allow you to retrieve the items that you list on the writ. Make sure you think of everything that is yours that is there so when you go in and see something thinking you can take it, if it's NOT on the writ you'll have trouble getting it. My ex did this when I had a restraining order on him. He simply put, "work shirts and pants and toiletries." I'm sure they will let you in to get your kids' things.
