I'm sorry that you decided to delete your thread. Yes, if Dad is concerned that his sons are being beaten consistently, he should consider taking them to a doctor each time he has them to make sure they are okay. Be it family doctor, urgent care or ER. Or, as was suggested, ask them to check themselves and take them if they see bruising to have it documented. Or to the police to report the assault.

I, personally, do not see anything *at this point* that would give Dad custody. He has no proof of anything. Except two upset children - who may well be exaggerating things for any number of reasons.
