2nd Paraphernalia and 1st Marijuana charge - 17yrs old

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Last summer I was pulled over and charged with paraphernalia, since then I had not got into trouble again until yesterday. Last night I was arrested at a campground and charged with an MIP and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. My pot was in my car and I did not consent to a search, but because I was arrested with an MIP my car had to be towed, so they got to search it anyway. I want to know what my best move is at this point, and how I could possibly reduce my charges.

1 other question, will this hurt my chances of getting into college? I really want to go to the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

Have mom and dad get you an attorney and some drug counselling. You will need them both.

Don't be a snich but just say it was for personal use (first poss. of weed is always a misdemeanor)
