amount of crack for first time offenders

I have read about first time offenders caught with 5 grams of crack, second 3 grams, third 1 gram and the minimum and maximum amount of time they could spend in jail. But what if the first offense was smaller than 5 grams say .78 grams would the minimum and maximum time be the same? In California. Where would I even find this information?
