What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
Attorney that assisted with obtaining PR Bond & release quoting $2k flat fee for representation for 1st time offender & clean criminal history otherwise, arrested with a paraphernalia ticket & Class B Misdemeanor. Background: Client was stopped for tail light being out at 9am Monday morning on the way to work & was found with 1g of marji & a pipe in his pocket after officers did not find anything in his car, arrested without Miranda Rights being given (may not matter as I am sure the magistrate later covered rights before release) he was given PR Bond 2k for representation on the low, average or high side of fees. Can anyone comment their personal thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Attorney fees vary widely, one should shop around if they are looking for a bargain. For the 3,382nd time, Miranda is not required to be given at the time of arrest, it is done on TV for dramatic affect only. The only time it is required it prior to questioning. That is a none issue in this case.
