What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
Court is set for 09/10/2009-attorney has done nothing to get ready for pretrial-trial by judge-21 witnesess for prosecution. The charges are evading(which will probably be dropped(state jail felony offense) Other charge is possession with intent to deliver(2nd degree felony enhanced for habitual status) Offenses occurred 10/2008-Have not been in contact with actual attorney since June 2009-only able to speak with his son who is not an attorney
Heard that if attorney doesn't show at court that defendant can be represented by court-appointed/problem being we are set for trial by judge dates being 9/10 & 09/14

You need to talk to your lawyer. If he doesn't show up you will need to ask the Judge for a continuence, and explain why.
