Two friends planned to go fishing in New Jersey very early in the morning after a long night of drinking. They loaded their friend's canoe in the truck, but couldn't find the paddles. After trying to rent paddles, they decided to take some decorative paddles off of a marina bathroom. Very stupid. The guy saw them and called the cops. They were pulled over and the driver faces a DUI, while the passenger faces possession of marijuana - a miniscule amount and posession of paraphenalia. What are they looking at? THey already plan to repair the damage at the marina, but what kind of heat are they in? 1st offense on the posession, but 2nd DUI for the driver. Please reply soon, as they were only given 4 days to seek counsel. Will it be possible for the 1st timer to plea "No Contest?" or should they both enter a guilty plea? Thanks.
