What is the name of your state? ms

If someone caught a charge while on probation, had a bond on the charge but didn't bond out because he was in violation of his probation and they sent him back to prison, do you think its fair for the judge to hold him in contempt of court (he never bonded out so he never knew his court date). Do you think it was up to the state to release him back to the county in which he caught the charge and then let him bond out?
