What is the name of your state? FL
What happens is your lawyer breaks confidentiality of you case to a relative and then that relative tells someone that could be crucial to the case? The lawyer apologized but is there anything else that could be done. At this point I feel that he is not helping me like he should and he is not a court appointed lawyer. I think he is protecting this relative because this relative knows I am not guilty of what I am accused of.

If you hired this attorney, you can fire him at any time. If he is a public defender, you should be able to ask the judge for a new lawyer based on his breach of confidentiality.
