| | | Crossing into the states with marijuana need help asap
What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Me and my friend were crossing into the states and I had marijuana on me at the time, I claimed it was mine and was arrested.
The officer I spoke to said unless I have had previous charges I face no jail time, same with one of the people at the border. but when I got home I did some research and found that there is an MMS for 1 day and 250 dollars.
I am not sure what to do seeing as I'm quite young (19) and have no experience with this |

obviously I don't want to go to jail and pay money what do i have to do? |

pay the fine, you may be able to deal something for the jail time, such as probation, community service, check with the DA, see what they have to offer.
because i'm comfortable speaking for myself, i'd do this without an attorney. |
