I am a Canadian whose husband, a very good man with a good career, a clean record and strong communal ties was arrested in Florida 6 months ago. He was charged with conspiracy to possess MDMA but was arrested with no drugs or money. Due to the fact that the US Attorney was trying to attribute all the drugs in the conspiracy to him, carrying a 15 year penalty, he finally plead out to the least amont they would offer him, which is now 5 years. His sentencing is approaching. Our lives are upside down and we are prepared for the worst. We have collect over 20 character reference letters and want the judge to see who he truly is. We know since there is a sentencing guideline system that the judge doesn't have a lot of room to move. My QUESTION is what are the chances he can be deported home at sentencing? That is our best hope to have him home in the quickest time possible. Does anyone know the answer to this???

You left out some important info. We know you are Canadian, but what about your husband. Is he Canadian? Is he an illegal alien in this country, here on a work visa, etc.
