divorce and drug charge

I live in Utah, I am in Missouri on business and got a ticket for poss. of marijuanna. It was a very small joint and nothing else. Two questions:

Question #1: I have a court date coming up I would just like to pay the fee, have the smallest charge, then get on with my life so I can get back to my family. Is it best to just plea guilty and pay the fine? Can I somehow keep this off my record?

Question #2 I am going to get divorced soon in Utah, can the drug charge described above limit my custody of my child?
