What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin.
I am visiting Wisconsin with my girlfriend helping her dad through chemotherapy. I was arrested in December for misdemeanor possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. I live in California can they make me stay for a year on probation?

Can they? Possibly. Will they? Unless there is some really extenuating circumstances, probably not. Probationers in good standing qualify to have their probation transferred to their home states.
