drug crime

state,kansasVsricardo,dorado,herrera(mexican,national and my brother)while driving in a chevy minivan tx plates MY 1999 thru the emporia KS highway, ricardo, who was driving the vehicle at the time and 4 adittional persons where stop by emporia county police, according to the policemen ricardo drove above the white line at the side of the higway. they sttoped the vehicle, originally the vehicle was drove from ELPTX to KS by another person, for some reason ricardo took over the wheel at emporia.After the police stop the van, ricardo step out the van, police request license and registration, ricardo show his mexican license and a copy of the registration, the vehicle is apparentely register to another person different from the ones inside the van. the policeman then turn the papers back to ricardo. but when he was ready to go the policeman stop the vehicle again. and then ask the pasangers to step out for a routing search, ricardo agree and step out. the officers then start looking inside the poanel of the van and found marijuana, packs amount i don't know exactly.
the charges are. 1. possesion of marijuana with intent to sell, deliver or distribute. 2. felony possesion of drug paraphernalia. 3. conspiracy to sell marijuana.4 . no ks drug stamp. ricardo was only traveling with this so call "friends" just to help them out, ricardo was never aware of the drugs, this people basically use ricardo because he speaks english. ricardo has a wife and kids, a job, and was going to night school. this was only a weekeknd trip to help his "friends". case number is 01CR404. my questions is, the state counselor asign to my brother has not fully perfromed his job. all this events occurred july 30th, and my brother is still in jail. he had a audience already and pledge not guilty, apparentely the other persons that were traveling with him agree on stating that ricardo did not know of the drugs, a letter in english was wrote by the other persons stating ricardo was not aware of the drugs at any time. plus i got all my brothers paychecks, his scholl touitiong papers, a mexican goverment letter stating no criminal records on my brother, a letter from the company that he works for stating all the jiob details of my brother, a doctor letter with records of no drug comsuption history. and till this day my borhter is still in jail. his lawyer has not spoke to him in alsmot a month, I had to call the court in order to know his next court session(jan/28/02) what else can we do|??? I'm no expert but thers a lot of evidence that my brother was not aware of the drugs, my brothers lawer will not return my calls, will not answer my brother calls, we are totally lost. how can we get this lawer attention??
nobody seems to care, plus being a mexican national make it worst, no bail bond bussines will take us because he his mexican.
