Feds took paper work from me...want it back

Hello, I was recently released from Federal Prison after 18 yrs for a drug charge. At the time of my arrest the DEA took about 18 boxes of financial and bank records from me. I would like to get these things back. How do I go about this? What forms or motions do I need to file, or is it as simple as calling the DEA and asking for my property back?
Any help would be appreciated....
