A friend of mine is a convicted felon and was just raided in San Luis Obispo county and found with 400 pills of extacy and a 9 mil fully-automatic loaded with 10 bullets. I am wondering if I can get some info on the firearm charge because they are telling him that because he is a felon he will get 2 years for each bullet in the gun, Is this true?

Charges Are: Child endangerment, possession of a controled substance, felon in possession of an illegal firearm, probation violation

Wow! Now HE's screwed!

Two years for each BULLET?

I suppose under the strictest interpretation they can charge separately for each bullet, but I would not count on that.

He's looking at a lot of potential time no matter HOW they do the math!

Come back when you can post what specific offenses he is being charged with (code sections), then we can give a better idea of what kind of time he might get.
