What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

hi, i was pulled over in chicago and arrested for two counts of posession and one unregistered firearm. at my idictment hearing the judge dropped the felonies due to no probable cause and released me from jail on a paper (I-bond). when i went to traffic court two days later they had no record of the tickets and after explaining my situation, was told to just go home and wait for something in the mail. i had the clerk stamp my tickets to prove i was there on my appointed court date and that it was their fault as i did all i could.

heres my question, im trying to be redeployed to my unit and these tickets are supposedly still active. so, i went to the clerks office today and am scheduled to go in front of the judge next week.... now, because the felonies were dropped due to no probable cause to pull me over, will the traffic violations (using no headlights, using alley as thoroghway, driving on suspended, driving without registration.. which is why the cop said he stopped me) be thrown out as well???? or am i just wishfully thinking?:confused:What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Lord only knows,,,,

I'm stuck trying to figure out how driving without headlights would not be a good reason, or "probable cause" to stop you?

Could it be that the officer didn't have probable cause to search your vehicle without a warrant? This would explain why the felonies were dropped.
Unfortunately, it will not get you out of the vehicle code violations, as going by what you've posted, I'm sure the officer had a valid reason for stopping you.

So my guess is No, the traffic violations will not be thrown out.
Do you now have a valid drivers license?
