First Offense Marijuana Simple Possession

Just got the first offense for simple possession of marijuana along with simple possession of paraphernalia. I was told to request a trial because "chances are they would drop the case to not spend more money on the jury and attorney than the amount of your fee." Is this something I can count on or should I just go ahead and pay the fine, take the PTI, and get over it?

what is the charge?felany?in any case I think just go to court and the judge probably will put you on probation...talk to a public defender..the best thing is to get a lawyer ...they wont dismiss your case!...I saw a case being dismissed when a lawyer is involved.
