I recently went to my arraignment with my best friends for being at a party. The magistrate said if i am caught contacting any minor i will be held in jail until the case is over. Can they do this, and how would they even find out?
thank you

Posting your state (as required) would be a HUGE help.

And the answer to most any question asking if a judge can do something is, "Yes he (or she) can."

I suspect you're being charged with contributing to minors or some such thing?

It's your choice whether to heed the judge or not. How lucky do you feel?
