my best friend got picked up for possession of heroin and her preliminary hearing is in a month. she had 3 bags on her (approx. weight 9/10 of a gram, value $45-60). she was only charged with possession. she is 19 with no criminal record whatsoever and if tested will come up clean. she has also maintained a job for over a year and has letters of reference to her excellent work and good character from several people at work, has completed a year of semester and is transferring to a better school in the fall. she is also currently in therapy and will get a letter from her therapist to take to court as well. can anyone tell me what is likely to happen to her?
