I have a potentially serious situation that I really need advice with...

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arkansas

I met a man at a previous job who was into bodybuilding, and he told me about dietary supplement pills called ephedra. Since I am a model and need to be as lean as possible, I was interested. He said that the cheapest way to get the pills was to purchase pseudoephedrine from pharmacies and that he would convert them into ephedra pills. So I bought a few boxes from the pharmacy and gave them to him, and a few days later he gave me a lot of red pills that I looked up online and found to be ephedra. I also found online that ephedra is dangerous and is banned by the FDA, so I immediately flushed the pills and stopped talking to this man because he deceived me and was involved in something that was bad for my health.

Now I am reading that pseudoephedrine can be used to manufacture methamphetamine, and I am worried that he might have used what I bought to do that. I have no idea if he is or is not involved in methamphetamine, and I would suspect not, but it is still very worrysome that something I bought could be used to produce something so horrible and illegal. I bought under the legal limit of pseudoephedrine, and to my knowledge it was converted into ephedra, but for all I know he could have sold them to a meth dealer and just had extra ephedra or something. So I really am concerned that I may be legally responsible if he did use them for these purposes, even though I had no idea of the potential illegal uses of legal products until I read about it just now. Do I have anything to worry about, and should I contact someone about this?

Thank you so much

Best advice I can offer:

1. Never talk to the guy again.
2. Never say anything to the police.
3. Never buy pseudoephedrine for anyone else.

Big mistake, never get pills from a guy at the gym. It never works out well. Next time just eat less and exercise more. As for giving him pills so he could make meth, well that is a bad thing. How many boxes did you buy because some states track this stuff and will arrest you at a later date. Plus if this guy gets busted and they ask him where he gets the pills he'll give them your name and you will go to jail. Models in jail probably don't have much fun. So next time just maybe drink slimfast and do some extra situps and may a few lunges.
