What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? florida. I have a possesion and cultivation charge that was just a few plants in my garage; anyhow to make a long story short I was placed in a diversion program. I ended up showing cocaine in my system and they kicked back to the state; I had a relationship with a Major in the Lee county sheriff's dept. and was helping with some street intelligence. We go back all the way to high school and I told him of my problem with the diversion program and he told me that I should not worry about it any more. This happened back in 1996 and it still shows up on the clerk of courts record but the records have disappeared back in the achives somewhere. I still have trouble with buying guns when they check but have no felony convictions. I have been stopped by the law with a properly carried gun in my vehicle and nothing came of it when they ran me, so what do I do to get this matter taken care of or exponged? It seems that this matter is in some kind of limbo and I would really like to clear it up as I am a state certified contractor and have had no trouble since 1996, besides I would like to exercise all my rights as I am not a convicted felon or on any type supervised probation.What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
