My 20yr old daughter was arrested with 3 others in Kinnelon for under 50g and CDS in a motor vehicle back in October. Court initially was Dec4 but was postponed until Feb by one of the other defense lawyers. Now it has been postponed until April because the town did not send the evidence to the lab on time. My question is this. Is there a limit on the time a case has to be disposed of? Is there any chance the town would dismiss the case due to the fact that it will already be 6mos old by April? Thanks
