Marijuana/Firearm Charge in NC: under 1/2 oz

Charged with:
Possession of marijuana under 1/2 oz.
Possession of marijuana paraphernalia
Possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance

We were on Lowe's Motor Speedway property, staying in a campground. It was around 1:00 am, and not realizing it was after quiet time, our music got the attention of campground security.

Security walks up as a bowl is about to be passed around. He ask where the pot is and I tell him. I admit to being the owner of bowl and pot.

Now, there are around 6-7 security guards at our spot to help split everyone up and begin questioning. As one is walking away with me, I say that I need to tell him something. He asks me to step away. I say again that I need to tell him something. He says agian that I need to step away. Finally, I tell him that I have a pistol in my pocket and only loud enough that he can hear me. They retrieve the pistol, and my Concealed Carry Permit, and I'm seated for questioning.

All this time, everyone is being very cooperative. No one is drunk, being rude, or making a scene about anything.

Security searches my truck and camper, nothing else to be found. I do everything I can to be upfront about every question.

Security calls Cabarrus Sheriffs Department to take over the process, and I'm placed under arrest. I spend a few hours at the CSD and make bail.

I don't know how much of this is going to matter in court but:
I was very cooperative and never gave anyone any trouble.
It'll be my first offense.
I had my Concealed Carry Permit.

I'm not contesting any of the charges, but want to know what to expect in court.
Will there be probation? Supervised/Unsupervised?
Class I can take to get charges dropped?
Fines?

I'd rather not have to get a lawyer for this. Would it be worthwhile? What are they going to do to help?

My first court date is in about a month. What is the process for this first date?
Will I make my plea and that be it?
What are my options/process for the various plea options?
Can I make a plea bargin and have 1 or 2 of the other charges dropped?

I know this is alot of rambling, but any advice will be appreciated. If you have any questions about how things happened or anything else, please ask.
