I was given a ticket for marijuana possession and a ticket for paraphenalia in missouri. These are both class C misdemeanors in my state, should I get a lawyer or is this not a really big offense? I'm worried about this staying on my permanent record though, I'm currently 18. Also, I'm on 2-year unsupervised probation in a different county than the one I was given the ticket in, will the county in which I'm on probation be notified of these tickets and if so what will happen? Thanks
P.S.-this is my first drug-related offense

Yes it is serious, it will be on your record and you need a lawyer.
