What is the parental liability for a minor (ETOH only) being caught using alcohol or drugs in an apartment in the parents name and paid for by the parent (minor is at university)?
What is the parental liability in same circumstances if another person should leave the apartment under the influence and harm himself or another?
While parent has knowledge of occasional alcohol (and suspicion of some drug use) use in the apartment, parent has entered the minor into treatment for this, as well as other behaviors, where the minor is making progress. Parent never has direct knowledge of any incidences of the above behaviors taking place at the time they are taking place (parent lives out of town).
