What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Arizona

My 19 year Daughter was driving through the State of Az from Oklahoma and had a blow out on the side of the road
She called 911 for assistance and a Highway patrolman was dispatched to assist her
While they were changing her tire he smelled Marajuana in the car and asked her if she had some in her car
He told her we can do this the hard way or the easy way
She gave him the gram of pot and some rolling papers

He told her that since this was her first time he would only charge her with possession of marajuana and paraphenalia

What is the typical fine and Sentence??? If pleading Guilty

AZ typically has a rather lenient system for dealing with first time offenders of non-violent offenses such as possession. Whether or not this would apply to your daughter sorta depends on what her situation is; why was she in Arizona?

There is no such thing as a 'typical' punishment. It depends on several factors, including the court, the type/amount of evidence, prior history, etc.

The best thing you can do is to make sure that she has competent local counsel.
