hello,

We are in Iowa and my friend was riding in the passenger seat of a car and the car got pulled over. The driver gave the cop permission to seach the car. Under the passenger seat they found a rock of crack cocaine. It was NOT his. The driver said it was and the passenger(my friend) got arrested. He was unaware it was there and it wasn't his. How can he get charged when it wasn't his vehicle and the driver was sure to say it was the passengers and not his. they just take his word. Shouldn't the driver get arrested instead? What advice can you give me to help him with this bogus charge.

Thanks
Shelby
