What is the name of your state? Missouri
The other night my gf was with her friends coming home from a party. They were stopped by a cop b/c one of the drivers headlights was out. I guess the cop smelled pot or something and asked them to get out. They found less than 2g of pot on my girlfriend, so she was charged with possession of less than 35g.

We are trying to figure out how much we can expect the ticket to be - even if its just a ballpark estimate. Also, my gf and I are in college. She is an education major. What repercussions could this have on her career has an educator, if any?

She has been assigned a court date. What is the best way to go about handling an appearance in court such as this.

I appreciate your help, we are kind of lost on how to handle this situation.

It's a misdemeanor. It could be up to a year in jail and $1000 fine (plus costs). I'd seriously recommend she consult with an attorney.
