What is the name of your state? New Jersey

My friend Thomas, name has been changed, has a past history the last 3 years in and out of prisons, was finally doing good living in a halfway house, and a baby on the way. The other day as he was walking home from drug court to his grandmothers, he saw an old friend, Tim, who is also a prior convicted felon, and heroin addict. They hit hands as boys do to say hello, and kept it moving. Undercover detectives had been following this boy Tim, and arrested him, not much later from when he said hey to Thomas. He was found with heroin on him, when asked where he got it from, he replied it was the boy Thomas he said hey to. Now Thomas has been doing good, working, away from drugs, and bettering himself and his life with his girlfriend and soon newborn baby. The police came 3:30 that afternoon to Thomas grandmothers house, 5 undercover, 3 cops, told Thomas not to move that he was under arrest. Thomas complied with orders, and did as they said. He was taken down to the county jail, and is being held on $20,000 bail. Since he does not have this money he remains there. Thomas did not have any drugs or paraphernalia on him, they didn't not have anything to convict him on, except for hearsay, they only thing he had on him at the time of arrest was $100 something worth of cash he just got for cashing his work check...his charges are violation of probation, resisting arrest, new distribution charges. We are trying our best to get Thomas out. What can we do? i do not understand how they are putting resisting arrest on him when he complied as said, had nothing on him, and their using a druggies words. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
