question...

What is the name of your state? California

I was arrested and charged with possession. I was a passenger in a searched truck. The driver was also charged with possession.

We are not being tried together.

At the arraignment, the judge asked both of the attorneys why are they being tried separately and not together. The DA and the PO replied they didn't know why.

Could this be a call for a dismissal?

I thought since the topic of my question changed from searches to court charges, that I had to post under the related type.
