What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? jacksonville, fl

Just wondering what's the possible outcome for the charge of traffic/conspiracy illegal drugs from 4-14 grams if found guilty. Particularly the amount of jail time that could have to be served. It will be a first time offense.

Trafficking is a second degree felony, punishable up to 15 years.
Adding conspiracy bumps it up to a first degree felony, up to 30 years.
You don't say grams of WHAT, higher amounts kick in mandatory MINIMUM penalties.

893.135(1)(c)(1)(a)
Looks like you're facing a mandatory three year minimum. You may be eligible for gain time (time off for good behavior) of up to 15% of your sentence. Also, one paragraph of 893.135 says:

"The state attorney may move the sentencing court to reduce or suspend the sentence of any person who is convicted of a violation of this section and who provides substantial assistance in the identification, arrest, or conviction of any of that person's accomplices, accessories, coconspirators, or principals or of any other person engaged in trafficking in controlled substances"

So if you want to serve substantially less than three years, looks like the only option (aside from being found not guilty) is to figure out who you can rat out and persuade the state attorney that THEY are a better catch than YOU.
