What is the name of your state? California

This is an information and opinion seeking question.

If a person has been offered a DEJ (defered entery of judgment) and his/her Public Deffender has recomended accepting the offer what benifit is there to the person declining the offer?

If more details of the situation are needed I can try to give you all I've got.

Thanks!:)

The only "benefit" I can see is that instead of accepting it, you could fight the charge. If you somehow win the case in court, then that leaves you the ability to accept a DEJ at some later point if you needed it.
