I live in California. My friend was recently sexually assaulted under the influence of drugs and alcohol and she is 18, making her underage. She wants to press charges against the person but is afraid of her family finding out and having charges pressed against her for being under the influence. The person responsible was sober and was aware of her state at the time and took advantage of her by convincing her to go home with him so she could sleep and sober up before going to work the following day. The assualt took place at his home. What should she do? Is there anyway I could help her?
