They CAN enforce the law. They don't HAVE TO enforce the law.
Then why have it as a Federal Law if they aren't going to enforce it?

Why can't Texas make abortion illegal? Because the federal government says that it's legal in every state.

They would enforce it then.

No, the Supreme Court of the United States has declared it a Constitutional right.

Okay I understand.

But what about sanctuary cities?

Why isn't the government going in there and arresting all of those illegal immigrants?
Why isn't the government going into all of the marijuana shops and arresting everyone in there for distribution of marijuana?
