my husband got stopped 7 months ago for speeding .he was driving on a suspended license so they searched the vehicle
which was in my name and they found some drugs. they lodged
him and then released him pending further investigation.
they also siezed my car and told me i would recieve a notice
to post a bond for the car.
1. i still have not revieved a notice its been 7 months
is there some kinds of time frame they need to follow.
2. they served a warrant on my husband last week for the
drug charges. when we went to court yesterday 6-21-01 they popped up with 3 traffic tickets that he never recieved
from the arresting officer . can they do that after 7 months. thanks diane

You don't mention your state. So I don't know but I can help you find it. Go to the freeadvice.com homepage. Click on State Law center, click on state statutes, then your state, then the criminal procedure code. look under return of seized property.
