What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee

Hello,

I was searching for at-home work opportunities. About a year ago, I was contacted by a man representing a company in China. He stated he needed a mail forwarding/drop shipping service in the US to drop ship jewelry (watches, earrings, bracelets, etc) to customers in the US to speed delivery. We researched his company online and all seemed to be legit. He forwarded cartons containing sealed boxes to us with numbers on them, (and free samples of the products) and then would email lists of addresses with the corresponding numbers on them. We simply posted the boxes at our local post office and emailed the tracking numbers back to him. We used our personal address and even obtained a business license with the intent of paying taxes and eventually seeking additional clients in an effort to grow the business. After a few weeks, we received a carton in the mail that did not contain sealed boxes, but instead contained hundreds of packages of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. We sent an email to him stating we had received a package in error and that we wanted no part in forwarding drugs. He responded that we had been forwarding the bogus drugs all along. He stated we could not return the package because the address was invalid and would be held by customs and traced back to us. When we stated we would turn the package over to the police, he responded that he had worked with other people that had attempted to seek help from the police. He stated as in every case, the police would not believe us and hold us responsible for what we had already done. We would be arrested for possession and distribution (which we then believed and still do). When we told him we would destroy the drugs, he threatened us by stating he knew many people in the US that would come to collect the thousands of dollars we would owe him. There is more to the story, but at this time, I am seeking information on other such cases. Where can I find information on other people in similar situations?

Thank you.

Unfortunately few people will admit it. There is nothing new about this scam. I would definitely call the FBI as an international thing.
If you don’t they will eventually arrest you.

You have a problem.

You know what it all is, but to get the protection of the police will almost require you to admit to your crimes. Almost.

See an attorney and have him go to the police, or, talk to Vito and let him know you need protection.

As to the criminal issue, you can probably be OK for this and future for going to police. I bet most past things will be fine too, unless they get a bug up their butt for some other reason.

As to the civil, I think it unlikely they will sue. Besides, you have defenses.

As to the guy breaking your kneecaps, that's where your problem lies and why people shouldn't get involved with sketchy people.
