vehicle seizure

I live in Texas. I was arrested for and convicted of possession of a controled substance and subsequently my vehicle was seized. I believe my vehicle was sold at auction before my conviction. Is there any way I can check on this. If it turns out that it was sold before my conviction I don't believe that's legal and I think that would put a new twist on my situation. What are the legal parameters to the seizure laws in my state and I can't afford to have my attorney check this out since my trial. Is there any basis of wrongdoing on the part of the police. Thank you.

There are a LOT of factors that are involved in drug asset forfeiture cases. Such as: amounts, distribution, actions at the time, etc. Far too many to determine validity of the sale on this forum.

Also, it is NOT uncommon for a seized car to be sold prior to conviction.
