3rd DWI

What is the name of your state? NY

I got my third DWI on Christmas Eve and I am curious to what my consequences are going to be. Do they get harsher on your third? My license was already suspended so I doubt I will ever get that back. Am I facing jail time and will my insurence go up more? I blew a .21 and failed the FST. Thanks

Well, I would like to start off saying that a lot of people hear are just flat out wrong in thier advice. I was driving drunk, blew a 1.5 or 1.7...can't exactly remember...but my lawyer contested that since I worked at GE around a lot of volatile chemicals that are proven to mess with breathalyzers, the DA dropped my case which was approved by the Judge. I broke the law and got away Scott F'ing Free.....Whose da Man????

If you don't think you'll ever get your license back, then why are you concerned about your insurance?

Peaking over .2 on a regular basis is going to kill you even if you don't slam into someone in your farking car and kill the both of you.

You should have been locked up after the 2nd one. This one is definitely a felony. NY third offense is up to $10,000 fine and seven years in jail.

Dude, sober up and get a lawyer.

Good Lord, I hope so. Obviously you can't be trusted to stay off the road. The more jail time the better.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.

No car insurance needed while in jail. Afterwards, since you won't be allowed to drive, why would you need insurance?
