| Almost over... What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? FL
I tried looking around to see if someone asked this already. If so, I missed it and apologize for repeating. At the risk of the unnecessary opinions that occassionally show up here, I ask hoping someone who's been the same route may give me an idea how to take care of this. I was arrested last April for DUI(first, LAST,and I know, I know) Went through the whole experience-spent 4 nights in jail since no one knew I was there, put up close to $10,000 in fees, fines, lawyer, etc and sincerely have learned a valuable(albeit expensive) lesson. I won't bother getting into the fact I am glad that it went that way rather than how I may have hurt someone if it didn't...I am roughly 2 weeks away from the 1 year mark and my suspension period will be legally over. While I did go get e permit to allow myself a hardship license I never got it because I didn't have the $220 to do so, and stuck with the arrangements I was using already for transportation. Now that I (think) I will be allowed to go get my license back, how does that work? What paperwork do I need to bring and do I need to take the test again, etc? Some that know my situation feel that a suspension implies you can get it back, but I thought I read somewhere you may be required to retest. I don't care if I have to(believe it or not, I am a very good driver) but again, just would like to know the steps to expect. To anyone who may have some helpful answers, I thank you... |
