Applying to Graduate School with DWAI

I am a senior in college and I_m planning on graduating in the fall. I have recently been charged with a DWAI. I know, this is the stupidest thing I could have done and I_m just glad I was stopped before I hurt anyone or myself. This is something that I will never allow to happen again. But my question is that I will be applying for graduate school and I_m wondering if I am convicted of this, will I not be admitted into graduate school? On all of the applications it asks for a criminal history (much like a job application) and I_m assuming honesty is the best policy since they will probably find out anyway. I_m just wondering if anyone here has been admitted to graduate school with a DWAI or a good job. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Divulge everything. Do not attempt to hide it. And if you have an essay section, write about how the DWAI affected you and what you learned from it. Show how you are responsible since then and it will not happen again. If you don't disclose it and they find out about it you can be expelled from the grad school and that will greatly harm your chances of getting into another grad program anywhere.
